My Story

I hold a B.A. (2013) from Simon Fraser University and spent years in the non-profit and education sectors, leading transformational youth development programs. I continue to offer work around rites of passage, land-based education, social-emotional skills, and experiential learning.

My background also includes advocacy and program work in support of refugees, immigrants, survivors of male violence, environmental justice, Indigenous sovereignty, and animal rights.

I have received in-depth, live, trauma-informed trainings and certifications from the Somatic Institute for Women, Pacifica Graduate Institute, the Deep Body Institute, and Cornell University.

In my herbal and nutrition work, I have over 2000 hours of clinical training with Chanchal Cabrera, Seraphina Capranos, Kat Maier, Sarah Wu, Katolyen Yardley, Jasmyn Clift, Storii & Dayne Wild, and Pacific Rim College’s Phytotherapy & Holistic Nutrition program.

I have completed two years of Grief Tending & Ritual apprenticing with Josea Crossley, was a regular facilitator for Through the Dark Woods Grief Support Group, and hold seasonal community grief rituals and retreats here in the pacific northwest. I am deeply influenced by the work of Joanna Macy, Francis Weller, Martin Prechtel, and Malidoma Some, the keeners of the Celtic lands, indigenous elders of Turtle Island, among others.

I have also received my coaching certification from Global Focus Coaching, an International Federation of Coaching (ICF) accredited school.

Additionally, I am a Wilderness and Mental Health First Responder, ecstatic dance facilitator, yoga, meditation, and acroyoga teacher.

I am deeply committed to decolonizing myself, my work, and supporting others in doing the same. I currently reside as a guest on the ancestral lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation and and also steward a piece of off-grid land with a group of women on N'Quatqua land, also known as D’arcy, BC.

Though I was born here on Turtle Island, my ancestral roots trace back to Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and England, as far as I know.

Most of all though, I think, I am an artist, poet, dreamer, myth maker, dancer, and lover of the world.
